Does the API have the ability to create a form that owuld allow users to modify their profile? i.e. click on this link in an email and you are presented with various elements of your profile (i.e. name, address, etc.) that the user can change and then have that updated in the VR database.

Hi kingisgone,
The API does not allow you to create an HTML form that would allow your email recipients to update their profile. But, you can create an form that uses the editListMember, to modify the user's profile. - Allen Corona

Thanks Allen!
i can see that you can use editlistmember..but here's my question. If a user clicks a link in an email and then winds up on your website, is there some means of figuring out who that user is? If you are using conversion tracking the cookie that is placed on the users machine should be able to tell you which user that is..does the api give you access to that cookie? Is there a referenced implementation of what I've proposed? Thanks! |
